On 18 July 2022, International Nelson Mandela Day, the Pink Room Foundation took on the remarkable project of providing a much needed playground to the children at Stonebridge Primary School in Phoenix as our Nelson Mandela Day Community Outreach Project. The day started early and our team and volunteers spent their time cleaning up the playground space, painting benches, laying down astro-turf, assembling a glorious jungle gym and swings, building a sandpit, painting a mural and planting decorative plants and flowers. By the end of the day, the space was transformed from a dull and dreary space to one that is completely irresistible to any child.
